Gena Thomas Ross is a 1997 graduate of H. L. Bourgeois High School. She is the mother of three boys: Dorian, Payton & Landon. Gena has been married for 24 years. Her vision is to empower and enrich the lives of children. Gena is very passionate about home-schooling. Gena loves teaching and mentoring children. She has a total of 13 years experience as a teacher at M.I.C.S and as a Learning Coach. She also received her certification through N.P.S.A.G. She wants every child to reach their highest potential. Her ultimate goal is to see every student at QHS succeed. "Through my years of experience, I've learned that not every child is not the same. You have to meet them where they are. You have to teach them differently so they can understand."

She's worked with diverse groups of students of all ages, grade levels and backgrounds. Among those were many students with ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, speech impairments, and non-compliant behavior.
Mrs. Carolyn believes that Education is the key to success.

Ms. Angela graduated from Booker T. Washington in 1987. She taught at John Dibert Magnet School in New Orleans, LA for 14 years. She's also worked at New Rising Sun daycare for 7 1/2 years. Ms. Angela went on to further her education by receiving her CDA and Ancillary Certificate in 2018. She learned at an early age that she had a love for children. Ms, Angela is compassionate about teaching and helping children. She is a great asset to QHS!

Gabriella DeHart is 21 years old and is engaged to her high school sweetheart. She has a love for children of all ages and hopes to guide each one to the correct path. Gabriella graduated from Central Lafourche High School in 2019 and has always dreamed of being a teacher. Her motto is “Take each step in your life as a lesson. Learn from it and grow with it.”

Demecia R. Jackson is an educator from Jeanerette, Louisiana, that currently resides in Houma, with her husband Terrance Terrell Castle and son Steve Small Jr.
Over the past four years, she has taught Science, Social Studies, and Quest for Success in Terrebonne Parish, as well as Jefferson Parish.
She is a graduate of Nicholls State University, where she received an Associates and Bachelors Degree, as well as a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. She is also a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
She is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree at Xavier University, where she is majoring in Ed. Leadership - Higher Ed. Administration.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends, community service projects, traveling, journaling, and writing.
